Vita

Charlott Hübel has been working at the ZNU - Center for Sustainable Leadership as a research assistant in the “Biodiversity Valuing and Valuation” (BioVal) project since November 2021. In the project, solutions are developed together with companies in the food industry to reduce negative impacts on biodiversity caused by food along the life cycle.

She is also doing her doctorate at the Center for Sustainability Management (CSM) at Leuphana University Lüneburg. In her doctoral thesis, she is researching the role of established companies in driving an industry transformation towards sustainability. The focus of her analysis is on the meat industry. As part of her doctoral work, she was a member of the transdisciplinary research project “Processes of Sustainability Transformation” until February 2021. She was then responsible for research transfer in the PHW Group's Alternative Protein Sources business unit.

Prior to her doctoral studies, she completed the “Master of International Business and Sustainability” (MIBAS) at the University of Hamburg. In her Master's thesis, she developed a framework at the interface between sustainable corporate management and transdisciplinarity. In her bachelor's degree in international tourism management, she already focused on sustainability issues and researched the drivers and barriers to sustainable tourism development.
